Lincoln, NE or St. Louis, MO - Commodity Manager
This position is responsible for development and management of the strategic supply base within the assigned commodity(s) for supply of required materials to ensure total customer satisfaction while ensuring cost, lead time and quality targets are met.
- Establish long-term relationships with Strategic Suppliers that place Laird in a lead position with its suppliers thereby assuring continuity of supply and best in class quality and pricing to provide advantage to Laird and its customers.
- Guide the selection, development, and management of Strategic Suppliers to meet commodity cost and performance goals, with emphasis placed on ability to identify cost targets for relevant technology and product roadmaps.
- Monitor current commodity market conditions/trends, technology roadmaps, and identify supply/demand challenges. Develop, implement and communicate tactical and strategic commodity plans internally and to Laird suppliers as appropriate.
- Work with Product Introduction process to coordinate sourcing strategies and ensure a smooth and timely manufacturing ramp on new programs.
- Provide technical assistance to new product development, product enhancement teams, site and local purchasing teams and plant materials management teams.
- Management of supplier performance ratings.
- Communicate forecast information to critical suppliers regularly.
- Negotiating and administration of purchasing contracts.
- Make or buy policy analysis and decisions.
- Outsourcing strategy/development/management.
- Payment terms negotiation, optimization and management.
- International trading issues/imports/legal, awareness and management.
- Drive productivity gains (cost savings) to improve project and service margins through negotiations and competitive bidding, minimize defects and delays.
Qualified applicants must have good analytical, team building, strategic planning and change management skills. Skills to include good communication skills; ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail and a complete understanding and experience with integrated manufacturing software systems, i.e. ERP, MRP. A BA/BS degree or equivalent experience is required plus 10 years previous inventory, production control, and/or supervisory experience, 5 years Management experience and CPIM, CPM is preferred.

Lincoln, NE - Finance Manager
The Finance Manager oversees daily operation of the Finance Department, including budget preparation, audit function, month-end closing, rolling forecast, etc. Responsible for preparing and controlling of the budget on annual and monthly basic including forecast of sales, costs and all the operation activities.
- Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements and analytical reports based on company requirements, national regulation and international standard, like costing and variance analysis, working capital and cash flow analysis, short and long term forecasting and business plan.
- Direct month and year -end closing to meet all deadlines and internal /external reporting requirements.
- Handle all tax issues such as withholding tax, expatriates IIT, VAT refund with local tax bureau, dealing with foreign currency exchange and payment with foreign exchange bureau.
- Strengthen internal control system.
- Coordinate with external auditors and internal auditors.
- Managing the international transactions with oversea companies.
- Create an effective and proactive financial team with respect to planning and reporting. Reconcile the gap between local and headquarter reporting.
Qualified candidates must be self-directed team players and have a high level of motivation; Knowledge of database and accounting computer application system to supply the most accurate financial information, capable of certain financial systems will be a plus; Cost accounting and cost analysis experience; Standard cost set up experience; Excellent analytical, planning and organization skills; Excellent communication and negotiations skills, people oriented personality; Capable of working within an unstructured environment with an ability to prioritize issues with minimum resources. Consistently meets or exceeds commitments with the highest standards of ethics and integrity; Fluent oral and written English is a MUST.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA certificate preferred; Minimum 2 years experience in finance /accounting management position in multinational company preferably related to manufacturing field, with all hands-on operation finance experience.

Lincoln, NE - Customer Service Manager
The Customer Service Manager is responsible for managing to customer service organization to efficiently manage customer orders from inquiry through delivery at lowest possible cost to serve. Accountable for global customer service organization, strategy, goals, and communications.
- Day to day coordination of customer accounts and support of the Sales Managers.
- Monitor and evaluate assigned Sales personnel, ensuring that customer service hours are covered and that accounts and duties are assigned to the best advantage of the the department.
- Represent customer service in meetings and conference calls as required.
- Travel to tradeshows, seminars and customers as needed.??
- Develop, standardize, and implement the processes required from order receipt through customer delivery, to minimize lead order lead-time, maximize on tine delivery, and maximize customer satisfaction.

Bachelors Degree in sciences, engineering or business. Advanced degree preferred. Experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. Minimum of 5 years in sales, customer service or customer support role.

Lincoln, NE - Training Manager
The Training Manager administers, organizes, and conducts company training programs for production, clerical, supervisory, technical, and management personnel globally. Train new US employees and assist lower-level personnel. Assess and define needed training in order to meet company's Global objectives. Submit, develop and implement annual Global Training plan.
- Day to day coordination of customer accounts and support of the Sales Managers.
- Research, plan, organize, and conduct training programs, seminars, and conferences for production, clerical, supervisory, technical, and management personnel.
- Develop material and deliver new training programs utilizing various locations resources.
- Prepare and administer various training programs in the US and through location resources.
- Prepare and distribute training aids such as instructional material, handouts, evaluation forms, and visual aids; set up audiovisual equipment and make presentations when necessary.
- Contact attendees and department representatives about training program.
- Negotiate, organize and manage contracted training.
Qualified applicants must have the ability to communicate with company employees, professional training group members, and consultants by phone, in person, or through correspondence; Ability to perform duties with minimal direction; Ability to develop and facilitate training programs.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Master degree in Adult Education preferred. At least 8 years' experience developing and facilitating training. 3+ years in corporate training, with at least 1 year working with off shore locations.

The Program Manager is responsible for managing a cross-functional team of professionals in the development of products from conception into production.
These responsibilities include:
- Defining, planning and managing project milestone activities
- Managing and directing a product development design team consisting of multiple engineering disciplines
- Managing and coordinating activities between departments to meet product development requirements
- Managing product design cost targets as set by Senior Management
- Simultaneously setting priorities/direction for multiple programs in development
- Act as the technical customer interface
- Generate/facilitate documentation per engineering procedures.
Qualified applicants must possess excellent time management skills, exhibit understanding of the cross-functional relationships between inter-company groups and the expertise required to take a product through development and on to production, good communication skills, both oral and written and ability to use Microsoft Project. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or technical field with experience/knowledge in manufacturing processes, 2+ years experience in a similar position, 5+ years design experience and previous managerial experience preferred.
